Day 1Cairo

Day 2Giza
The Great Pyramids, the Sphinx and the Valley Temple, then thousands of years of royal history at the Grand Egyptian Museum.
Day 3Saqqara · Islamic Cairo
The Step Pyramid of Saqqara and off-the-beaten-track tombs; in the afternoon the Ibn Tulun Mosque and the lanes of Islamic Cairo to Khan El-Khalili.
Day 4Luxor
Fly to Luxor and embark on your luxury Nile cruise. Afternoon at Karnak and Luxor Temple.
Day 5West Bank, Luxor
The Valley of the Kings with the tombs of Tutankhamun and Ramesses VI, the Temple of Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon.
Day 6Edfu · Kom Ombo
The Temple of Horus at Edfu, the double temple of Kom Ombo and the Crocodile Museum as you sail south.
Day 7Aswan
The island Temple of Philae, an afternoon felucca on the Nile and the Aswan High Dam. Overnight in Aswan.
Day 8Abu Simbel
An early journey by coach or flight to the colossal temples of Ramesses II and Nefertari. Return to Aswan.
Day 9Aswan
The colourful streets, crafts and hospitality of a traditional Nubian village.
Day 10Alexandria
Fly north and continue to your hotel on the Mediterranean.
Day 11Alexandria
The Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, Pompey's Pillar, the Bibliotheca Alexandrina and the Corniche.
Day 12Cairo
A final breakfast, then a private transfer to Cairo International Airport.
